
Chopped Italian sandwich
Ingredients
handful of your favourite lettuce - rocket, iceberg, butter lettuce
a few slices of yellow cheese - preferably with a strong flavour (e.g. cheddar, gouda, provolone)
strips of grilled VERA peppers
a generous portion of tuna in VERA oil
thinly sliced red onion
a splash of extra virgin VERA olive oil
spoonful of mixture: mayonnaise + natural yoghurt
salt and freshly ground pepper
Preparation
Place all ingredients on a large chopping board.
Start chopping - finely, but not to a pulp! Stir the ingredients with a knife so that they combine well. Spoon the finished mixture into your favourite bun.
