Hummus with a Balkan twist
Ingredients:
1 can of VERA chickpeas
2 tablespoons of tahini
1 clove of garlic
1–2 teaspoons of harissa
2–3 tablespoons of VERA ajvar
½ teaspoon salt
2–4 tablespoons of cold water
2 tablespoons of VERA olive oil + extra for drizzling
parsley
Preparation:
Drain the chickpeas and blend them with the tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt, harissa and ajvar. Gradually add cold water until the hummus becomes velvety and perfectly smooth. Spoon into a bowl, garnish with dollops of ajvar, chickpea kernels and parsley. Finally, drizzle with olive oil.
