A spooky tree for Halloween
Ingredients
2 packets of puff pastry
VERA green pesto
Pesto red VERA
Mozzarella
1 egg + a little milk
Preparation
Unfold the first sheet of pastry and sprinkle it with mozzarella. Brush the top with green pesto and the bottom with red pesto (it will look like an enchanted tree from a dark forest). Cover with a second sheet and cut out the shape of the tree - cut out the trunk and cut the pastry into the shape of the branches. Bake the leftovers - they are delicious! Roll the 'branches' by twisting each cut piece of dough around its axis to one side - they create that magical effect! Brush with egg and milk and bake at 200°C for about 15 minutes, until golden.
