Stuffed cabbage without wrapping
Ingredients:
500 g minced meat (pork and beef)
1 medium cabbage
1 cup cooked rice
1 egg
1 onion
2-3 garlic cloves
salt, pepper
1 bottle of VERA Passata (690 g)
frying oil
parsley
Preparation:
Mix the meat, rice, egg, finely chopped onion, garlic, finely chopped cabbage and spices in a bowl. The mixture should be compact. Shape into cutlets. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry them on both sides until golden brown. Heat the VERA passata in a pot and season with salt, pepper, bay leaf and allspice. Transfer the chops to the sauce, cover and simmer for approx. 40 minutes over low heat until the cabbage is tender.
